AI suggestions

Risk Companion can generate risk suggestions using AI based on your project details. Use these suggestions to jumpstart your risk register or discover risks you may have overlooked.

What AI suggestions are

AI suggestions analyse your project description, sector, and configuration to propose relevant risks. Each suggested risk includes a title plus associated causes, effects, and measures. You review and select which suggestions to import into your register.

Suggestions are starting points, not final answers. Always review and refine them to match your project context before importing.

Generation workflow

The AI suggestion workflow has four steps: generate, select, review, and import.

    Generate

    Open your project and click Generate risks. Risk Companion sends your project details to the AI engine. Generation typically takes 15 to 30 seconds.

    Select

    Browse the list of suggested risks. Each card shows the risk title and a summary of its causes and effects. Check the risks you want to keep and expand any card to select or deselect individual causes, effects, and measures.

  3. 3
    Review

    The review page shows all selected risks with their full bow-tie structure (causes, effects, measures). Edit titles, assign owners, set categories, and add tags before importing.

  4. 4
    Import

    Click Import to add the reviewed risks to your project register. Each risk is created in Draft status with its causes, effects, and measures already attached. A results page confirms what was imported.

What gets generated

The AI generates a complete bow-tie structure for each risk. Here is what each suggestion includes.

Risk title

A short statement describing the risk event, based on your project type and sector.

Causes

Events or conditions that could trigger the risk. Shown on the left side of the bow-tie.

Effects

Consequences if the risk materialises. Shown on the right side of the bow-tie.

Measures

Preventive measures linked to causes and corrective measures linked to effects. Each measure is created with Open status and 0% progress.

Getting better suggestions

The quality of AI suggestions depends on the information available about your project. To get the most relevant results:

  • Fill in a detailed project description before generating
  • Set the project sector and type accurately
  • Add project phases so the AI can tailor risks to your timeline
  • Review and refine every suggestion before importing

AI suggestions do not replace expert judgement. Use them to supplement your team's knowledge and catch risks that might otherwise be missed.

You can regenerate suggestions at any time. Previous generated risks are discarded when you start a new generation. Only imported risks remain in your register.
