Adding and managing risks

Capture risks quickly with just a title, then build out full details on the risk detail page. This guide covers both approaches and walks through every field and tab.

Quick capture

Click Add risk from the risk register. Enter a descriptive title and confirm. The risk is created in Draft status with the title as the only required field.

Write titles as short event statements. For example: "Supplier delays construction materials" or "Key staff member leaves during execution".

Risk detail page

Click any risk in the register to open its detail page. The page is organised into three tabs: Details, Bow-tie, and Assessment. Changes save automatically as you edit.

Bow-tie tab

The bow-tie visualises the relationship between causes, the risk event, and its effects.

Add events

Attach measures

Attach preventive measures to causes and corrective measures to effects to show your response strategy.

Assessment tab

Score your risk with Current and Target assessments to track improvement over time.

Choose a scoring method: single-point estimate or triangular distribution (min/mode/max).

Probability

Rate how likely the risk is to occur.

Impact perspectives

Score impact across multiple dimensions (Financial, Schedule, HSE, Reputational, Quality) as configured for your project.

Changes save automatically as you edit. Use the tabs to switch between different aspects of the risk.
